Last updated: August 18, 2025
Welcome to the Mirror Mirror support page. This guide covers how to use the app, tips for best results, troubleshooting steps, FAQs, and how to contact us.
How to Use Mirror Mirror
1) Install & Open
- Download from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Open Mirror Mirror and grant Camera access (and Photos/Storage if you want to save captures). These permissions enable the live mirror and saving features.
2) Quick Mirror (Live View)
Mirror Mirror opens to a live camera preview (the front camera is recommended).
- Flip / Mirror: Toggle horizontal mirroring to match a real mirror.
- Zoom: Pinch on screen or use on‑screen controls.
- Freeze / Pause: Freeze the frame to inspect details without holding a pose.
- Light / Exposure: Adjust in‑app exposure or move to brighter, even lighting.
- (Optional) Grid: Turn on a rule-of-thirds grid in Settings to help framing.
- (Optional) Rear Camera: Tap Camera Switch to use the rear camera.
3) Capture (Optional)
- Tap Shutter to take a photo.
- Retake if needed, or Save to your device and to in‑app History (if enabled).
4) Analyze (Optional)
If you enable analysis (e.g., lighting quality, framing guidance, skin/beauty insights):
- Tap Analyze after capturing.
- Wait for processing, then review: Summary (overall result), Highlights (what went well), Suggestions (how to improve).
Note: Some analysis features may use cloud processing; a stable internet connection is required for those features.
5) Manage Results
- History: Review, favorite, or delete past captures and analyses.
- Share: Export or share captures/analyses to your preferred apps.
- Settings: Adjust defaults like mirror mode, grid, haptics, resolution, and analysis preferences.
Tips for Best Results
- Lighting: Face a bright, even light source. Avoid backlight and harsh shadows.
- Framing: Keep your face centered at eye level; avoid extreme angles.
- Stability: Rest elbows or use a stand to reduce blur.
- Lens Cleanliness: Wipe the front camera to prevent haze and flares.
- Connectivity: If using cloud analysis or backups, ensure reliable internet.

FAQ
Do you store my photos or analysis results?
By default, your photos and analysis results stay on your device unless you choose to back them up or share them. If you turn on cloud analysis or cloud backup, images are transmitted securely solely to provide your result or back up your content. We do not sell your data. If you request deletion of cloud‑processed items, we will delete associated content from our systems in line with our data retention policy. (Template language—confirm it matches your actual backend behavior before publishing.)
Can I use the rear camera?
Yes. Tap Camera Switch in the live view to toggle between front and rear cameras.
Is there an offline mode?
Yes. Live Mirror and Capture work offline. Features that require internet include cloud analysis, cloud backup/sync, and account-related features (if you use an account).
How do I delete my data?
- Delete specific items: Open History, select an item, and tap Delete.
- Clear analysis results: Open the item, tap More, then Delete analysis.
- Account & full deletion (if you use an account): Open Settings → Account → Delete Account to request deletion of your account and associated cloud data. You can also email support@ideaspike.com to request data export or deletion.
Does the app have paid features?
Mirror Mirror may offer optional paid features (e.g., advanced analysis, higher‑resolution exports, or extended history).
- Manage subscription / credits: Settings → Purchases.
- Restore purchases: Settings → Purchases → Restore (App Store / Google Play handle restorations and refunds per their policies). (Template language—adjust to match your actual offerings.)
